VOTING AND ATTENDING SCREENINGS
Voting for the Screen Actors Guild Awards® is done in two stages. The first, nominations balloting, is voted on by two nominating committees. These nominating committees are selected at random by computer in April of each year. The second stage of voting, the final balloting, begins once the nominations are announced.

VOTING FOR NOMINATIONS
Nominations for the SAG Awards® are selected by two nominating committees. The SAG Awards® Theatrical Motion Picture and Television Nominating Committees are newly drawn each April, each made up of 2100 members. The committees are selected by a random sample drawing of active paid-up members of SAG. Members selected to serve on the 15th Annual Theatrical Motion Picture ‘SAG Nom Comm’ and Television nominating committees are not eligible to serve on their respective committees again for three years. This allows more members of SAG the opportunity to serve on these important committees. The second stage of voting, the final balloting, begins once the nominations are announced. SAG dues are not used to produce the SAG Awards®.

FINAL BALLOTING
Final ballots will be prepared and mailed on December 26, 2008 to the entire active, paid-up Guild membership. To be eligible to receive a ballot, your November 2008 dues must be been paid -- and any address changes be submitted to the Guild -- by December 15, 2008. We must receive your ballot in the return envelope provided to our elections firm, Integrity Voting Systems, by 12 Noon on Friday, January 23, 2009. The recipients will be announced at the 15th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards live on TNT and TBS, Sunday January 25, 2009. See our key dates calendar for full details.

SCREENINGS FOR SAG MEMBERS
The SAG Awards® has established an email database for members who wish to be contacted should seats for nominating committee screenings become available. Most of these screenings are in Los Angeles and New York and occasionally in other major metropolitan areas. Please know that these offerings can happen very last minute and RSVPs will be on a first come, first served basis. SAG Nom Comm members will receive first priority.
